While at Mandeville Elementary in St. Tammany Parrish School District in Louisiana, Shirley was instrumental in orchestrating an unprecedented grade acceleration for my son. This was the best decision we could have made for his education. She organized and helped walk us through the process, as well as coordinated the efforts of those involved. Shirley's love and advocacy for children and people in general is apparent. Her organization and interpersonal skills are impeccable, and she would be an asset to any company or organization, whether inside the education field or outside of it.

Shirley and I mentored new candidates for National Board certification for many years. Her knowledge base and dedication to the process was impressive!
