A self-taught personal chef, Chef Shira began her culinary journey in her grandmother's kitchen in Philadelphia. There, she developed skills of not only cooking, but the art of invention. Dinner was made with whatever ingredients were in the household, simmering with smells of anticipation and delight.Chef Shira grew up in Los Angeles where she developed her individual skill and passion. Chef Shira soon found herself in New York where she attended New York University, studying the intersections of food and psychology. This inspired Chef Shira's philosophy on food. Derived from years of study and cooking, Chef Shira's philosophy incorporates current dietary choices and a firm belief that food should feed the soul and heal the body. Having a meal of wholesome food should allow a person to feel positive about their choices without sacrificing taste.
