      Collected data of pediatric HIV care in Mumbwa district, Zambia. As a member of JICA SHIMA project (The Project for Scaling Up of Quality HIV/AIDS Care Service Management). Conducted translation of department’s clinical manual and Japanese guideline of influenza encephalopathy into English, and introduced them to Vietnamese doctors. As a clinical pediatrician, treated around 10 patients daily. Took charge of outpatient clinics once or twice a week and night duties 6 to 9 times a month. Supervised around 2 or 3 junior residents every month as a senior staff. Participated in short-term training in Tokyo Metropolitan Children’s Medical Center, as a trainee for pediatric infectious disease expert for 3 months. Learnt antimicrobial stewardship and infection control. Carried out research on the relationship between neonatal and maternal serum micronutrients. Maternal serum selenium concentration has positive correlation to birth weight, and the results were published in peer-reviewed paper. Improved PMTCT programme in Zambia as a JICA (Japan International Corporation Agency) intern.
