      Overview In this role, I am required to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders on new and exciting initiatives related to Carbon abatement. This means communicating across a range of different mediums and at a range of different levels from a very Traditional on country consultations to modern boardrooms and investors. I work closely with the Board on strategic initiatives and then with the broader management team on implementation on those strategic objectives. Management of the Cairns Office and Cape York Carbon Projects; Coordinate and deliver carbon farming training program with Rangers, Farmers, Traditional Owner's and any other interested land holders; Liaise with corporates about purchase of carbon offsets from projects all over Australia and then liaise with the carbon farmers to negotiate and finalise the trade of the carbon credits; Carry out carbon trades to comply with the Clean Energy Regulator Industry Body; Liaise, coordinate and mediate with a variety of stakeholders for project delivery outcomes; Managing and supporting interested parties to set up their own carbon project on their country and advising on what projects would be suitable specific to their land; Support and run social media campaigns Provide advice to different panels, the latest a panel run by the Queensland Government Chief Scientist on land clearing and revegetation; Deliver talks and information sessions about the carbon industry, different methodologies available and the requirements for these projects to be successful. Educate people on the work the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation does and how the production and sale of carbon credits is delivered and how it can create community development goals; Research and development of new methodologies and trading platforms; Work with Universities across Australia to educate and assist with their business faculty students' assessments and then provide scoring to students for their final assessment.

      I worked for over 20 years working and walking along side the Traditional Owners of Cape York Peninsula to assist in getting their Native Title Rights and Interests recognised. Working with Traditional Owner Groups from the North-West Cape and Northern Peninsula Area’s on their native title claims. Also working with mining companies and Traditional Owners to achieve agreement on mining opportunities on their country - the most recent being the Skardon Mine Agreement. My role included: Liaison between Federal Court staff and anthropologist with Traditional Owners in Cape York. Facilitate mining Agreements between several external parties and Traditional Owners. One of those successful Agreements is the Skardon River Mine with Metro Mining. I also worked extensively with Cape Aluminia, Gulf Alumunia and Rio Tinto Weipa for many years on different projects. Maintain internal customer files, databases and contact registers. Board endorsements for new CYLC Members. Supervision of 2 legal administrative staff. Budget/petty cash acquittals Mediation of internal issues between claimants Management of CYLC projects as required Maintain the CYLC website publishing community relevant content Responding to online enquiries.
