I attended a workshop in Deutsche Bank at Winchester House, London Wall. I was introduced to two charities supported by the bank which were Curelukiema and Ray’s Sunshine. The aim of the workshop was to raise funds via donations from staff members. There were approximately 24 students broken into four teams at Winchester house, there were a similar number of students at two other locations in the UK. I was provided a budget to purchase items for sale and was appointed as leader of my team. I was accountable for; the team budget, design of the cart for the sale items, creation of the sales pitch to staff and allocating roles and responsibilities to other members of my team. I lead my team to raise a profit of £580. Which was donated to the both charities. Show less

Feb 2018 - Feb 2018
I worked at Knight Frank which is a global property management firm. I was rotated across three sectors within the Marketing division comprising of Commercial, Residential and Public Relations. Within the commercial department, I attended meetings relating to increasing customers such as the use of a mobile phone application. I also booked venues for business meetings across London. In residential, I attended meetings for a business website and designed a theme and image for their webpage. In the PR department, I undertook an audit of a list of clients to identify the client types using Instagram and using newspaper articles. I captured the information on a spreadsheet for review by my manager. Show less

Sales Representative

Jul 2017 - Aug 2017
Worked as sales assistant where I developed skills in direct marketing. My role involved travel to different locations across London to promote and sell products to customers. What I have gained from working at a marketing agency was communication skills and teamwork. Everyone needed to work as a team to meet targets. Communication played a massive part in my work, as I was promoting products to the public. I needed to speak clearly and have product knowledge to be convincing and most of all have confidence to make a sale. I was able to understand what direct marketing some companies was about and how marketing agencies can promote their clients’ business products. Show less

Aug 2016 - Aug 2016
Whilst working at NatWest, I had the opportunity to meet with customers and understand their needs and demands. This allowed me to develop customer service skills. Moreover, I was dealing with clients, assisting them in opening new accounts other tasks included undertaking customer financial assessments for loans. By assisting the clients, communication was a big factor at hand. I regularly had to prioritise tasks; such as dealing with paper work or with customers, which required personal attention, so time management was crucial. On a day-to-day basis, I helped customers with deposits and withdrawals. I needed to help customers on inquiries such as transfer money between accounts or setting up standard orders. My time spent at three different branch locations within Canary Wharf area (Dockland, Canada Square and Crossrail). I was a valued team member as I was always willing to assist my colleagues with their tasks for example; in branch promotions, mystery-shopping assignments on other banks. Show less
