Data Analytics Certificate, Riipen Capstone Project | Jul — Oct 2020 Our project was to provide our Client (Bessie) with a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting tool to analyze the data generated by how people interacted with their online platforms. Bessie connects farmers to customers that are looking for ethically managed and responsibly raised sources of meat, poultry, and fish. •Developed an innovative ‘Proof of Concept’ Microsoft Azure cloud-based Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solution. •Automated data extraction calls to the Bessie Facebook page using the Facebook REST API interface and Azure Data Factory (ADF) through a sequence of ADF pipeline activities. •Loaded the extracted data into an Azure SQL database as the initial data staging area. •Pulled the staged data from the SQL database into Power BI where it was cleaned and shaped into dimension and fact tables. •Created a Power BI analytics dashboard (the KPI tool) to discover insights on which ads performed the best and assist Bessie in making decisions on their spending and inventory requirements.
