  Working as a lab technologist in microbiology department at Apollo Hospitals, Bhat, Gandhinagar Road, Ahmedabad. Work includes (1) responsibility for all routine culture and sensitivity, anaerobic culture and sensitivity, AFB culture and sensitivity, fungus culture and sensitivity; identification of mould; preparation of reagents for staining - gram stain, Z-N stain, fungus stain, India ink preparation, lecto phenl cotton blue stain, flourescent stain; preparation of media for routine special culture; doing routine surveillance of operation theatres, CSSD, water and food; (2) Quality control in microbiology department - internal quality control programme by using standard strain (staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Psuedomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853); routine surveillance of operation theatres by taking swabs and air cultures; routine surveillance of CSSD, water and food.
