The Energy Systems MSc-2 student Valeriy Shevchenko has produced an excellent Master thesis, which in addition to its strong scientific content shows that Valeriy has a genuine interest in his research topic and a true commitment to reach high professional standards. In fact, Valeriy started working on his experimental research project at a time when we (me and his co-advisor Senior Research Scientist Yuriy Lyulin) started restructuring the Energy Systems "Heat exchanger lab" completely, meaning that not only Valeriy started his work essentially from scratch, but that he also took a very active part in the design and building of the current experimental setup. Valeriy has thus shown real team working skills, self-motivation, and actual practical skills in a research lab environment. He proved to be a valuable asset for our group as he assisted Dr. Lyulin who is in charge of the experimental setup development.
