I had the pleasure of working with Sherry in her role as Associate Provost for Student Affairs at the University of Dallas. Having worked with many student affairs professionals during my career as a general counsel, I appreciated Sherry's ability to de-escalate serious situations during tense periods and emergencies. Sherry worked amazingly well with troubled students and with their parents and always approached all situations with great professionalism, empathy and an appropriate sense of urgency. Sherry performs her work with high ethical standards for herself and for those around her and she stood as an exceptional model of behavior for the students she was charged to lead. Sherry approaches her work with grace and a sense of humor and I appreciated her greatly during the time of our work together.

Dean Sherry Dellinger inspired me to be a better provost/vice president of academic affairs. She understands student affairs as a discipline, having been trained by the very best and having years of experience. Her expertise in restorative justice is second to none. Her expertise in training resident assistants and working with student-athletes is extensive. She loves students and holds them to the highest standards so that they can realize their potential. I am honored to call her not only a colleague but a friend. She has my highest recommendation.
