  As the recent Financial Compliance Specialist, I have a lot of experience in reporting to a variety of State Departments and to the IRS. I am computer proficient with business software i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel and Word. I have used the recent software programs of PeopleSoft and IFAS. For 1099 reporting I used Sovos/Taxport AP and am very familiar with IRS TIN matching program and the IRS Fire website. I was the primary controller of the university vendor database to ensure accuracy and data integrity for reporting purposes. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills. I enjoy training and writing policies and procedures. I performed sales tax analysis for the entire university, provided education to the community, balanced and performed the quarterly online reporting and payment submission to CA, KS, MI, NV, PA and WA. I performed bi-annual due diligence for outstanding checks for the Accounts Payable checks, Payroll checks and Student refunds for the university and submitted the reports to all states as required per each states mandate, sending the funds with a report when due as well. I am used to following a very fast-paced daily schedule working independently with little supervision, yet I also worked well in a team environment and enjoyed working in a community of a higher education.
