Ms Sherine Meshad joined my team in 2003 (until 2009) at the UNESCO Cairo Office; she soon became a major player in the education programme and a valuable asset in the success of the program. Her duties included assisting in running the education programme both regionally and nationally; preparing work plans and budgets for the programme; organizing workshops, conferences and seminars; representing UNESCO at various activities and events. She was UNESCO’s focal point for youth, media and HIV/AIDS. Sherine demonstrated high professionalism and conscientiousness in performing her work which led to her continual upgrade. She liked her work and showed lots of enthusiasm and creativity always coming up with new ideas and initiatives. Her readiness to help colleagues and mentor new comers has been noticeable in achieving coherent teamwork; her patience and positivity contributed to a pleasant and accommodating work environment. With clear and organised writing (in both English and Arabic), her reporting and technical skills were a great help in successfully meeting deadlines. I’m sure she will prove a positive addition to any work environment both professionally, technically and socially. I wish her a bright and promising future. Good luck.
