I moved from an operations position into a full-time business analyst position. Main responsibilities have grown from merely taking orders and answering the phones into a more customer-centric and analytical position. I have used my analytical skills to run reports and gather data in order to drive customer pricing into the niche where our company is profitable and we are able to show the customers considerable savings over other providers. I have spearheaded technological improvements in both process and learning within the branch and have been appointed the pricing expert for our branch by delving into market trends and learning how it affects our daily operations and that of our customers.

Grants & Compliance Coordinator

Main responsibilities changed from tracking grant submissions to being the campus liaison for all externally requested research funds. I was responsible for reviewing all grant applications before submission to ensure they met the requirements of each individual call for application and working with faculty members to create budgets for each submission. Once the grant was awarded, I then became responsible for contract negotiation with Federal and State entities as well as private foundations. In addition to grant administration, I was also responsible for processing applications for both human and animal research and served as liaison between faculty and the respective compliance committees.
