Serve as Vice President of Granby Ambulance Association on the Board of Directors. Help to manage the day to day operations of the organization including serving as the HIPAA Compliance Officer. Assisted other board members and the Chief with creating and editing an employee handbook for all full-time, part-time and volunteer employees. Assisted organization with the transition of our FT and PT employees from Town of Granby employees over to direct employees of Granby Ambulance. Manage a team (currently seven people) of Claims Resolution Managers (CRM). CRMs handle both pre-litigation and litigation matters involving both health care provider and customer healthcare claim issues. Mentor and train CRMs in best course of action relating to strategy in whether to defend or amicably resolve these matters. In addition, bring root causes of matters to the attention of management and recommend changes in protocols and procedures in order to help avoid same root cause issues in the future.
