I had the pleasure to work with Sheri as a part of my team for over 12 years during my time with Cabela’s in Sidney. In that time, she grew from an individual contributor, to a leader over multiple functions within Accounting, and ultimately to leading a newly-created Systems Support division within Accounting/Finance. She succeeded in every role and with every new challenge. Sheri’s greatest strengths are being a fast learner, building relationships, and her ability to relate/communicate to all levels & partners across an organization. These strengths allow her to thrive in an environment that values continuous learning, solving problems in a collaborative manner, and helping organizations deploy new solutions with effective change management. And she can succeed in any role…individual contributor/consultant, leading a business unit, or leading a cross-functional project team. I believe the greatest compliment or recommendation I can provide lies within this question: "Would I want Sheri to be a part of my team no matter what the situation?". In that regard, during my time in Sidney with Cabela’s, each time I took on a new leadership role I recruited Sheri to be on my team, regardless if she had relevant prior experience, or if a current need/role existed. I was confident she would succeed because of her friendly personality, unmatched work ethic, and passion to learn and deliver quality work. And I was always confident our department and the company would be more successful because of her teamwork and contributions. Sorry to say I could not convince Sheri to move to Lincoln when my career with Cabela's took me that direction, and my current situation does not have a role that would allow her to work remotely from western Nebraska where her family continues to farm. But I can confidently say some lucky company, with the right fit and right role, will be blessed to have Sheri as a part of their team.

While I was the Vice President of Accounting at Cabela’s, I had the opportunity to be Sheri’s direct supervisor. Sheri’s department was the liaison between accounting/finance and all other departments at Cabela’s on large projects. Sheri’s strengths, which were important for this role, include the following: IT systems and business process knowledge Accounting background Prioritization Internal and cross-functional communication Documentation Meeting deadlines Attention to detail Developing relationships Sheri is very passionate, highly ethical, and really cares about doing what is best for the organization. I was very comfortable and confident in Sheri as a key member of my team.
