  As a Shelter Case Manager I provide case management/advocacy services to both, the Family Violence Shelter and the Emergency Shelter for Families. I as Case Manager assist clients who may be homeless or victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. The focus is to provide services that will assist and empower the client to move from victim to self-sufficiency and independence and to break the cycle of abuse and violence. I perform all activities including:•intake and assessment for shelter housing •assist clients with setting goals to be completed during their shelter experience•provide support groups and life skills•link with appropriate agency and community resources •advocate on the victim's behalf•maintain shelter environment that is conducive to client success•Perform basic administrative tasks
