Process Engineer

Processing demonstration requests for potential customers typically for EMI Shielding and TSV applications. Mainly thin films of Copper, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Tungsten, Aluminum, Silica, Alumina and various alloys are deposited using magnetron enhanced Physical Vapor Deposition. Complete requested Design of Experiment or customer's requirements and maintain process control by documenting metrology data, operating tools such as: SEM, four-point probe, optical stress measurement tool, spectrometer and/or optical microscope. Hands-on experience on with experimental design on various R&D projects such as cross-sectional polishing, 3-dimensional thin film deposition, magnetron configurations, reactive sputtering, and EMI Shielding. Write-up clear and concise demonstration reports for customers and internal use; which document process parameters, data analysis and processing issues. Experience working with management, engineering and manufacturing groups to troubleshoot and fix process issues on schedule. Typically use 8D reports and root-cause analysis to solve for long and short term fixes. In-field experience in Mexico and Korea qualifying processes for production tools at customer site. Show less
