  My current responsibilities include: Database User Support. Assist users to make the most effective use of the data, using PLSQL. 1.1 Request new/ refreshed environments for upcoming projects. 1.1 Assist users to extract data as required. 1.2 Teach users how to make effective use of the database. 1.3 Liaise with the Programmers about system modifications 1.4 Facilitate the extraction of specific sets of data from the database into spreadsheets for further manipulation and evaluation 1.5 Provide users with extracted data in an “un-normalised form” as required 1.6 Maintaining a live and development database 1.7 Facilitate the database designs and reviews for new projects prior to build. Test and implement new and enhanced systems. 2.1 Perform system testing. 2.2 Create UAT plan and perform system demos and UAT 2.3 Create release notes 2.4 Create implementation plan. 2.5 Facilitate the implementation. 2.6 Liaise with the other teams, DBA’s and implementation manager for downtime of Live systems. 2.7 Collate all database scripts during the project. 2.8 Conduct testing operations and compare output on dev environments prior to live deploy. 2.9 Provide post guarantee support for the users 2.10 Provide handover to support. Design and Development 3.1 Design and generate appropriate forms and/or reports. 3.2 Programme the necessary procedures required to activate the forms and reports. 3.3 Implement the new features and liaise with users to ensure that they meet user requirements. 3.4 Liaise and co-ordinate operations with the developers so that an integrated team approach is maintained. 3.5 Liaise with third parties to ensure that they meet user requirements. 3.6 Facilitate JAD sessions prior to design. 3.7 Analyse new requirements within existing systems. 3.8 Add new features and menu items as required. 3.9 Perform unit testing 3.10 Merge code from other projects 3.11 Create webservices / endpoints to link to third parties Show less
