I worked with Shelly for almost 7 years at Downtown Cincinnati Inc. As the director, then vice president, of marketing I planned events both large (Macy’s Downtown Dazzle) and small (streetcar tours). No matter the program, Shelly always worked with me to make sure we stayed under budget for the programs but could still developed memorable and high-quality experiences. She has a great collaborative style, bringing a mission-driven perspective to allotting resources and maintaining financial responsibility for the organization.

I worked with Shelly beginning in 2007 at DCI. Her management of the DCI finances was always orderly, timely, and accurate. She communicated with the board, staff, stakeholders, and auditors with authority and expertise. Shelly simultaneously managed the Safe and Clean program, as well as DCI finances and the office management--all of which take very different skill sets to manage these varied programs. As soon as Shelly took the lead in running the Safe and Clean program, she implemented many new initiatives that were extremely successful: new black flower pots, eBike, landscape cart, and Block by Block's Second Chance program to employ non-violent offenders. Shelly is a pleasure to work with and would be a wonderful addition to any staff.
