  Supervise four full-time production editors, four part-time production editors and three news assistants at the Post. Starting in the summer of 2019, I worked with editors at Florida newspapers to develop a state production desk to address the need for more cooperation, content sharing and night-time production help. Today, I schedule 15 state desk editors who work with 11 newspapers on news and sports. I regularly edit, plan, proof and oversee page production for sports sections as part of the state desk. In addition to my daily print production role, I was a super user in our testing and training in Naviga Writer, helping teach our newsroom the new content management system.

  Because of my previous experience as the high school sports editor, I was moved to sports for a specific project: Help plan and launch our high school sports website in a few weeks so it could start in conjuction with the high school football season. I attended meetings, sat in on training sessions and work with our web staff to design the site. It was meant to be a temporary project and it was. It was a great experience because I learned so much about digital platform.

I worked one-on-one with reporters, helping develop stories, and also worked closely with the photo department to coordinate coverage. The job increased in work and responsibility when the paper introduced weekly community sections which included sports pages.
