I have had the pleasure of working with Shelley Reed over the past four years. She has served as a member of the Academy of Global Logistics (AGL) Advisory Board at Cabrillo High School. As a member of the Advisory Board, Shelley has provided input on the curriculum, course flow and topics. Shelley has developed a series of workshops to assist student readiness in developing resumes, the creation of an elevator pitch, evaluating social media presence, and attacking a job/internship interview. As the students have moved through the grades, Shelley has updated the materials to reflect the expanded frame of references. Each year the students get excited when they hear Ms. Reed is coming back and start quoting some of the material that has been presented a year or two before. Her presentations are always admired and appreciated by both the faculty and students. When people hear that Shelley is on campus, I get emails and texts from teachers asking if there is room to bring their classes to her presentation. In addition to presentations, Shelley has organized other professionals to help with mock interviews, career workshops and mentoring sessions. The Cabrillo students and I are better because of the involvement of Shelley Reed with the Academy of Global Logistics. I am pleased to offer my unconditional recommendation. I have worked with Shelley both as our client for our programs and as a partner on the advisory board of the Academy of Global Logistics at Cabrillo High School. Shelley demonstrates a clear understanding of how training and development contributes to an organization’s success. She is strategic in her approach and communicates her objectives clearly to achieve her goals. She uses this same approach when developing training workshops for high school students. Teachers and students found her to be engaging, knowledgeable, and approachable. Her content is always relevant, fresh and thorough reflecting current hiring and workforce talent development practices.
