      Commencing on the first day Atlas started mining, I held a senior role in the Contracts and Procurement Group of Atlas Iron having in excess of 5 years direct Procurement and Contracts Management experience in the mining industry. The role with Atlas covered all aspects of contracting and procurement for the company with overall responsibility for undertaking the preparation and management of all contracts and the day to day procurement activities of the company. I led a small team made up of a contracts officer & purchasing officer and was responsible for the development and implementation of the contracting strategy, processes and systems for Atlas. The role incorporated looking after the exploration, operations and project teams of the company. Reporting to the Senior Manager–Legal/Commercial, I had responsibility for all key contracts including how I delivered procurement and contracting strategies and processes. Key operational contracts include Mining, Haulage and Crushing & Screening Contracts for both mine sites ($210m); numerous consultancies agreements including environmental, engineering services, safety, human resources, IT, heritage etc., travel management contracts including air travel & travel management ($3m) and exploration contracts including drilling and earthworks. I was the lead contract and procurement resource for the start-up of the Company's second mine site, Wodgina. Key contracts of significance were the Mining and On-Road Haulage contracts where I was responsible for tendering, negotiating, award and the subsequent management of the contracts. In addition to this, I was the lead contracts resource for the Company’s Turner River Hub Project. The Company was in the process of completing a Definitive Feasibility Study for the project but moved into early execute given the tight time frames to reach the advertised milestones. The most significant contract being the ECI Agreement for Roads and Crossings for 250kms of private haul roads. Show less
