Shelley and I worked together at TMC where she was responsible for the administration program that ran the school. She took what was a barely operational system that was a pain to use and prioritized fixes to get things stable and automated. She helped us migrate everything to an online platform, making everything available directly to parents and children for the first time ever through online portals and then heavily customized those portals and reports so that we presented our families with a unique experience that other schools would find hard to rival. She did all of this while meeting every deadline and continuing to happily help others in areas that were outside of her responsibilities

As a member of the Parents Council involved in fund-raising for my children's school, with a particular responsibility for the yearly Raffle, I was fortunate to work with Shelley whose expertise was absolutely invaluable. One of the biggest problems facing me initially was that the forms were not pre-populated with critical information. Not only did Shelley put together a template for the raffle sheet, which then pre-populated all the forms with the important data (name, account number, grade and teacher's name, inter alia) but she also proceeded to train the relevant parties in the school on how to use what she had set up to print for the grade, a class, or even email an individual raffle sheet to a parent whose child had lost the form. Furthermore, she generated a beautiful small manual including multiple screen-shots for long-term reference and which is used to this day. The first year, Shelley worked under a very tight deadline and produced in time, and we continued to tweak the template over the next two years. The benefit was direct and measurable: from decreasing the amount of time spent entering in information because it was already printed, to minimising administrative time chasing up whose form it was when there was incomplete information, to increasing the returns, based on the 'nudge' factors that ensured very little work on the part of the respondents - overall, a 47% increase in returns was noted of which a large part is due to the system she so willingly, happily and expertly helped put in place.
