I purchased a century-old building in my hometown that was starting to deteriorate quickly. I wasn't certain what exactly I would do with it at first, but it has become a venue for local artisans to sell their handmade and re-purposed items. It is a side-job that requires minimal time input but has proven to be one of the most rewarding ventures I've taken! I was a caretaker for a young boy with severe autism and assisted his family 30 hours each week. I planned and cooked his meals, transported him to therapy sessions, took him on excursions to work on gross motor and social skills, and worked with him to increase his ability to communicate.
