Executive Assistant to Executive Director & Government Relations Specialist
-
Mar 2016 - Present
Everyday is different, therefore a job description would not accurately describe even a typical day in this position. Each day I use problem solving skills to assist the Executive Director in moving projects forward to advance the mission and awareness of the Lab. Since there are multiple programs onsite, I use negotiation and interpersonal communication skills to find common ground in achieving the goals of the programs and the Lab simultaneously. The administrative duties of this position require strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to assist the Executive Director in balancing his time between administrative and scientific duties. Lastly, the position requires creativity on demand to view problems as opportunities and quickly develop solutions.
