I coordinated two special projects for the Islands Trust Area: Wells and Groundwater Workshops series and the Community Stewardship Awards. I coordinated a Wells and Groundwater Workshop series on 11 different islands in the Islands Trust Area. I worked with government officials, industry leaders and community groups to develop and deliver a workshop series for the public that shared information on wells and their impacts on groundwater. The workshops were so well received so I wrote a detailed Procedure for coordinating future workshops series in the Islands Trust Area. The Community Stewardship Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their leadership in protecting the Trust Area environment, culture and communities. I managed a record high number of nominations and ensured all stakeholders were informed throughout the award competition period. My regular duties include processing development applications, preparing staff reports and referrals, and providing local Bylaw interpretation and communication to various stakeholders
