I served 8 commonly owned companies in virtually all legal matters blending the legal requirements with the business necessities to minimize their risk exposure and increase their operational profitability. While with the Beal-owned companies, my accomplishments included development and oversight of employment policies and practices, complete with training for other officers and managers to support those policies. At a low marginal costs to the companies, I developed a benefit program where there previously was none that included not only health insurance but also dental coverage, vision coverage and a 401K program. While the companies grew to almost triple the revenues, I oversaw the expansion of the insurance coverages while maintaining the premiums costs at or near their original levels. I handled or supervised the litigation for the company in all areas, both litigating some matters myself and selecting and working with outside counsel to coordinate our efforts on others. I also was responsible for all contracting matters, including with preparation of agreements with vendors, customers, sales representatives, employees, and subcontractors. I also performed due dligience and negotiatesd or prepared agreements to form, acquire or develop other business segments. I provided day-to-day advice and training to managers regarding risk management issues, employments issues and operational business decisions.
