  As a paraprofessional I work as a one on one with a special needs student with everyday school activities. Being that I work in a life skills classroom our focus is to teach children skills like brushing teeth, washing laundry, and sweeping the floor. Along with these skills we also seek to teach the students regular school subjects in an adapted and hands-on way. In being a one on one I am responsible for keeping a record everyday of all the activities that we have completed during each day and any notes that the parents should be aware of. I have been responsible for leading small groups, and helping to organize intriguing, educational, age appropriate tasks.
