Shelby stands out as a dedicated team player who is always willing to go above and beyond for the team. She is detail-oriented and a great problem solver. Shelby is excellent at building relationships and being involved in other functions of the business such as engineering, industrial design and marketing communications. Her understanding of all facets of the business has led to her being a well-rounded and strong product manager. During my time as her manager, Shelby showed incredible leadership in the launch and development of two cordless stick vacuums. She inherited a project that was riddled with quality issues and tough deadlines, but Shelby remained positive and was able to breathe new life into the project. She worked with the team to quickly address concerns and create a solution to launch on time. Her tenacity and attention to detail made the product a success, becoming a top seller at a big box retailer. Shelby also led the development and launch of a key hero product for TTI and was responsible for owning the entire development process. It was a highly visible project from an executive team standpoint, which required Shelby to frequently present and be the face of the project. She always handled herself with positivity and professionalism. Shelby is passionate and will do whatever is necessary to help the organization succeed. On top of her daily job responsibilities, she also was involved in multiple internal committees and led the charge for philanthropy. She was even asked to join the board of a particular philanthropy due to her participation through TTI and how much they enjoyed her involvement. Shelby also helped to mentor the Associate Product Manager that was on our team. She was always willing to stop her work to teach and lend a helping hand. Shelby also had great working relationships with all the other business functions and they always had glowing remarks about working with her. Shelby has served on the product marketing team for Hoover for the past five years and I had the distinct pleasure of serving as her manager during much of this time. Shelby is a very intelligent and reliable employee. Her absence from the Hoover upright team will be missed greatly. Shelby started with TTI during transitioning the company headquarters from Cleveland, OH to Charlotte, NC. She was relied on heavily during this period and given a lot of responsibility above and beyond the responsibilities of a new Marketing Specialist. Shelby stepped up in a big way and was producing at a high level in a very short period. She led the commercialization activities for our largest product launch in 2016 and 2017. Shelby has since led some of Hoover’s most successful launches in recent years, including the largest product launch of 2020. Her tenacity for excellence and her marketing acumen has been demonstrated time and again as evidenced by her three promotions during her TTi tenure. Shelby thrives on teamwork and collaboration as she interacts cross-functionally with consumer insights, engineering, finance, channel marketing, brand marketing, suppliers, and retailers daily. Her presentation skills and ability to think on her feet has led to monthly presentations to the Executive Leadership Team as well as retail customers in annual line reviews. She has not only led multiple new products through the new business development tollgate process, she has also managed the current upright portfolio.
