I worked closely under a senior designer within the Sonar Systems Development group. My work consisted of designing parts and assemblies in Pro-Engineer that were manufactured and are now included in major projects. Here I learned and implemented Geometric Design and Tolerancing for all the projects I participated in, and I developed technical experience by assisting engineers in assembling and testing projects in the field. I design pressure regulator stations and measuring stations by running necessary calculations to size regulators, relief valves, and pipes to tie in the transmission system to the distribution system. I recommend plans to fortify old infrastructure to increase output for a growing demand safely. Working alongside engineers and project specialists, I help draft distribution systems in new constructions areas and forecast project dates and costs while communicating with third party contractors.
