  My main role was to write daily copy on topical and current news and gossip stories. I was also responsible for editing and publishing the work of others. It was also my job to conduct interviews with people of interest, taking an angle that was relevant at the moment and sticking to the quota of Pappzd of finding stories that are of an interest to our readers. Making the lead photos on the website was also a role of mine; using Adobe Fireworks (similar to Photoshop) and Irfanview, I created a number of graphic and photographic designs that were in correspondence with the appropriate story. I also covered many events for review and stories with Pappzd, such as the MOBO awards 2013, Lil Kim and Eve concert at Indigo2 and many film premieres. Whilst at these events I was also required to be alert to any other occurrences such as unexpected celebrities, interviews and happenings that may need to be noted. As an editor, I also had some say in the running of Pappzd and how to gain a wider audience, manage some of our social media content, and further engage our readers with new strategies. Show less
