When it comes to working with Sheila, I can't help but having a high expectation. She always delivers quality, comprehensive, yet timely output. I had the privilege of working with Sheilla in World Bank and in the G20 youth engagement during Indonesia's presidency. Her research acumen is an indispensable asset to the team as she is always able to look at issues from unique angles and able to combine dots of insight into a meaningful discovery. Sheilla also displays excellent communication skills, verbally and asynchronously in writing. She led workshops and interviews with much clarity. She also co-chaired and support cross-cutting engagement to identify gaps and merge overlaps. Her attention to details helps the team move forward in a strategic manner. Above all, she is a great colleague to be around with. I wouldn't be surprised if Sheilla emerge as a top of mind in the nexus of gender, inclusion, and emerging tech.

Some people can't be put in boxes. There are many accomplished subject matter experts, and many collaborative generalists. There are only a few that sit at the intersection of both and is not only talented enough to flex between them, but do so with genuine humility to learn with and from others. Sheilla is one of those people. I could point out that her research helped examine purposeful workplaces post-pandemic, or emerging issues that are worrying Australian youth, but I think those things still miss the mark on what she brought to DrawHistory. Anyone lucky enough to have Sheilla on their team will know that she's an emerging leader that models servant leadership. I'm proud of the person she is and the person she's becoming. The PhD stuff? Impressive. The heart to learn and serve others? Evergreen.
