Pediatric Residency Program Coordinator

Provide administrative management for the Department of Pediatrics Residency Program, a top rated Graduate Medical Education program and nationally recognized children's hospital. The program trains nearly 100 residents each year in four different pediatric residency programs tracts.Associate Director of the Advocacy Program, exposing pediatric interns to the foundations of advocacy at several levels: individual, community, and policy/legislative. I coordinate the rotation by working with advocacy leaders in the healthcare community and campus to deliver a robust curriculum. I also facilitate several of the discussions and workshops during the rotation.Assist in the development of program educational goals and objectives. Maintain and update the Resident Program Policy and Procedure manual.Ensure that the residency program is compliant with all requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), including maintaining the resident database and documentation, ensuring that residents adhere to duty hour stipulations and education requirements.Manage all aspects of the resident recruitment, interview and selection process. 1200-1500 apply to the program each year, 250 – 300 applicants are interviewed over a four month period..
