Annesley Junior School is an independent co-ed primary school from two (2) years old to year seven (7), focusing on developing diverse skill set with foundations from International Baccalaureate (IB) and Primary Years Program (PYP). As a co-educator, I work under the direction of the teacher across different class levels, following the requirements of the National Law and Regulations, Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and National Quality Standards. I contribute to planning, preparing and implementing a quality educational program, leading positive experiences to meet diverse dispositions and learning styles. I participate in developing and revising assessment and program strategies and document learning experiences, write observations, prepare required reports on students and activities of high-quality standards. I recognise and respond to children’s physical, social and emotional needs, endorsing a sense of belonging through meaningful, engaging, respectful and reciprocal interactions, and consult with families and respond to concerns in a timely manner, developing and maintaining positive relationships based on mutual respect and open communication. If there are significant issues, I escalate and report to the Director in an accurate, objective, timely manner, upholding confidentiality and adhering to school policies and procedures. Furthermore I: - Undertake administrative tasks such as document management and data entry, establishing efficient processes for organising, filing and storing data. - Attend staff meetings, actively participate in ongoing and outside professional development opportunities, working cooperatively with continuously improving practice and standard of service. - Assist with the onboarding of new staff, conduct IT administration and induction into systems and processes, utilising exceptional computer science skills.

The Emali Early Learning Centres are South Australia’s leading group of privately owned and operated early learning centres offering a child-led emergent curriculum that is aligned with key play-based pedagogical approaches to teaching. As an Educator, I collaborated with lead teachers in designing and developing curriculums for groups of students based on the Early Years Learning Framework. I planned, organised and implemented relevant, engaging and meaningful educational materials and skill development activities utilising evidenced-based research and applied them in baby, toddler, and preschooler rooms. I actively listened and responded to children’s interests and needs, meticulously planned long/short-term outdoor/indoor activities, motivated and encouraged children to play, keeping learners engaged, enthusiastic and successful. Additionally, I managed the collection and analysis of assessments, instruction and instructional practices, and reported findings to senior leadership to help shape the curriculum, and communicated meaningful information with families about a child’s progress, relationships, interests, and experience. On a daily basis, I welcomed and greeted children at arrival in the centre, helped settle in new babies and supervised children during mealtime and outdoor/indoor play, encouraged children to eat healthy, arranged snacks, lunch, bottles for babies and bedtime, assisted children with toileting, changing nappies, communicated health, safety, and hygiene, and ensured clean rooms.
