The Department of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences at Fortis is an esteemed mental health care unit providing clinical evaluation and treatment services for a broad range of emotional, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. As an Expressive Art Therapist, I worked with children unable to benefit from traditional verbal therapy, by invoking their inherent capacity for creative exploration to improve physical, mental, and emotional well-being. • Designed & implemented an art-based neuro-rehabilitation program for children with cerebral palsy. • Provided counseling aimed at diagnosis acceptance, communicating with healthcare providers, and navigating the emotional impacts of treatment to patients with cognitive disabilities, post- surgery trauma, and terminal illness. • Conducted in-house stress management and sensitivity workshops for Fortis medical staff.
