I also supported LACCD in implementing their Sustainability Vision 2040 Plan to be powered by 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040 by providing technical support to Facilities staff to transition from gas-powered landscaping tools to battery-powered landscaping tools. I also facilitated vegetation monitoring protocols, seed collection, plant propagation, and trail maintenance.   I aided the development of the MPA Watch program through the creation of a virtual volunteer training curriculum as an adaptation to COVID-19. I collected survey data on human use of marine protected areas (MPA) across Santa Monica Bay and assisted in the organization and management of the MPA Watch database, monitoring over 20 volunteers in their survey collections.
