Leadership has its moments. Sometimes those moments require the involvement of HR. I was new to leadership when Shazia came onboard at CareerBuilder and I found myself facing problems that I simply wasn’t prepared for. I had some strong personalities on my team and I was struggling to foster a positive environment. Shazia really went the extra mile in helping to get my team on track. She coached me on better ways to deal with adversity, role played difficult scenarios with me, identified trainings for me to get involved in, and followed through on everything that we discussed. She worked with my reps as well. Shazia never took shortcuts, she put a lot of time and effort into making me a better leader and helping my team to succeed. I took a lot of things away from Shazia’s coaching that have become part of my leadership foundation to this day. She made a big difference in my career.
