Shazia was instrumental in creating a ground-breaking application of the SalesForce.com products for a large, global executive search/leadership advisory firm. She worked closely with the business team to translate needs into technical requirements and both challenged and channeled everyones energy to a successful outcome. Her intelligence, calm demeanor, discipline and experience was invaluable. But most importantly, she cared and that is a characteristic that can make a lot of good things happen in a large, complicated effort such as H&S undertook.

I had the pleasure of working on Shazia’s team at Heidrick & Struggles during a time when we were deploying a new business critical system globally to over 1600 users. The project involved a highly complex and customized implementation of the Salesforce.com platform featuring many interdependent layers of functionality and multiple vendor relationships. Additionally, the project represented a significant business and cultural change to the firm. Through Shazia’s leadership and guidance, we were able to successfully navigate the complex environment and closely manage the multiple relationships needed in order to successfully deploy the system. She served as a key point of escalation and was very skilled at managing under sometimes stressful circumstances. When necessary she applied the appropriate amount of pressure and negotiations to ensure project objectives were met without compromising the relationship of the parties. She also is very good at managing and motivating the team. Under her guidance, team members were always striving to achieve their best.
