  The Assistant Director is a full-time, non-exempt position at East Georgia State College. This position will assume full responsibility and authority in the absence of the Director for all federal, state and local student aid programs. The Assistant Director must have working knowledge of all the duties and functions of the Director. In addition, this position will specialize in default management. This position will also manage the day-to-day processing, including awarding Direct Loans, Pell, HOPE, Scholarships, Federal Work study, SEOG, etc. This position holds the responsibility of ensuring counseling for students and parents regarding loans, training staff, participating in reconciling and reporting, and ensuring compliance with complex and constantly changing regulatory requirements.
