DECA Competitor
-
Oct 2018 - Feb 2020
DECA is a business competition that prepares promising business leaders in all areas of business. I competed for two years, enabling myself to gain public speaking and presentation skills, as well as knowledge in business topics such as business law and finance. I competed in business law and ethics, which had competitors study company case studies and present decisions related to the problem. I competed at the provincial level both years after placing in the top overall at the regional competitions.

VP of Finance (Company Program)
-
Oct 2016 - May 2017
Along with a group of peers, we founded a company (Discover Colour) through the Junior Achievement Company Program. As VP of Finance, I was in charge of our accounting and finance matters regarding costs and expenses. We created our own product and worked with advisors in the industry to operate like a real business. While VP of Finance, I managed a team of 4 in matters of company expenses, I became a Junior Achievement Journey Award Finalist.
