      At this rural, Title-1 Georgia High School, I primarily taught 9th and 10th Literature and Composition. However, the last three years I was there, I also taught a 9th grade Remedial Reading course that used the online Houghton Mifflin Harcourt reading program Read180. My Special Education co-teacher and I had great success with that class and those students. We helped them successfully increase their reading (Lexile) scores. My principal credited our work with helping raise the school's CCRPI scores. I also helped coach the High School Academic Team for 12 of the 13 years I was there. Show less
