Shawna is a caring, responsive and overall great team player to have in the office! I had the opportunity to work with Shawna at Dissolve, and experienced first hand her professionalism and tact in communication with an exclusive contributor during the Christmas holidays. Her spirit to help get the job done, plus attention to detail makes her a great asset to any organization who demands high end results. I would be happy to work with Shawna again given the opportunity!

Shawna has been a colleague of mine in the Calgary media and technology industry for the better part of twenty years and more recently as a co-worker at Dissolve. Shawna is intelligent, creative and pragmatic - a unique and valuable combination - as is evident by her involvement in both the local arts community and in her business career. Shawna is naturally versatile, taking on new challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm. Over the last couple of years while I've worked alongside Shawna on Dissolve’s content team, I've admired her collaborative attitude, her attention to detail, her integrity and hard work — when there’s a job at hand, she’s one of the first people to arrive and the last to leave. Should opportunity arise in the future, I’d be glad to be part of a team with Shawna once again.

I was a long time admirer of the core team when they were Veer, and I saw this opening as the perfect opportunity to hop on board. Not only would I get to meet and collaborate with the talented folks from Veer, but I would also gain experience in an e-commerce business that had the potential to grow rapidly. Added bonus, being surrounded by passionate people, beautiful images and inspiring video footage that is licensed to customers all over the world. All of us on the production team were consistently reviewing submissions from different video and photo contributors from all over the world. Ensuring quality visual content and accurate metadata. In 2016, our team of 5 reviewed and loaded 328,525 video clips and 816,329 photos.QUALITY ASSURANCE:▸ Ensuring that all models and properties are released, where applicable.▸ Monitoring for copyright and trademark infringements.▸ Ensuring quality metadata and correcting and improving it, where appropriate.▸ Ensuring the technical quality is up to Dissolve's standards (making sure there's no glitches, black outs or trans-coding errors).▸ Reviewing and assessing the visual quality according to Dissolve's curation guidelines by grading some content higher and rejecting other content that doesn't meet Dissolve's standards.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

After parental leave, I returned with the main focus of enhancing our brand image and redoing our website to reflect our new SaaS model and our improved software visualization solutions across many devices. I was also instrumental in exploring a new product initiative, Renoworks Pro, by forming and regularly connecting with a group of super users and early adopters, collecting their feedback, testimonials and suggestions for improvement. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ After parental leave, I returned with the main focus of enhancing our brand image and redoing our website to reflect our new SaaS model and our improved software visualization solutions across many devices. As my journey progressed, I proved that I could take on more and more responsibility. I had several different titles over the years, but Product and Project Management is what sums it all up best. As the company continued to grow, we stayed very small so every team member had multiple roles to play. And lucky for me, I enjoyed the challenge of it all. Learning new roles, problem solving issues as they arose, and putting out fires as they came up. I was considered a go-to person for many in the company and for many of our customers at the time. I loved this, as I was always in the thick of it all, staying busy and shifting gears day after day. Being highly vested in customer satisfaction, I was very in-tune with our customers making sure to accurately clarify their product requirements. I would operate closely with them by holding regular phone call meetings as the project progressed to ensure their business needs were being met. I was also ready to deliver the not-so-good news in the event of a launch or product feature delay, which would happen from time-to-time. But, I did so with honesty and integrity and that is what builds a trusting relationship.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

This role was the start of my journey with Renoworks. Renoworks is a home visualization solution geared for the home remodelling industry and it had just launched, and I was fortunate to be there right at the beginning. The main goal for me at that time was to build a library of home remodelling image swatches with Photoshop to populate the product catalogue in the software. I was one of three people working on this goal. The role over time began to include graphic design to create brochures, technical and user help manuals, and tradeshow materials. We also helped test all new features and provided technical and user suppport to our growing base of customers.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
