      • Designed cable routes using Loadspring design tool for the placement of fiber optics in the district areas by analyzing the pole heights, right of ways, utility easements and terminal sizing. • Used engineering knowledge in analyzing the existing strand on the poles and their anchors to ensure they could support the tension of the proposed strands placed on them. Worked with the AT&T engineer to discuss all requirements needed for that specific job and area. • Quality Control - reviewed other designer’s work on the team to ensure they were in alignment with the set design standards and prepared for the next phase of the graphics team. Handled the Design Review Validation (DRVs) by reviewing the prints completed by the graphics team to ensure they adhered to the required AT&T standards. • Used Opti by AutoCAD for reviewing prints and associated tasks and ArcGIS for delivering field data to and from the design tool for process efficiency.

      • Collaborated with a local company to solve a safety issue in their plastic gate cutting process. • Our design team created a working prototype to improve the safety and efficiency of the cutting process for the injection molded medium and high density polyethylene parts. Created a PowerPoint presentation to convey the research results and present the design process. We demonstrated the working prototype to the Engineering Professors and the local company that our design team was working with.

      • Participated in contract award conference with Disan and the Federal Aviation Administration and presented the 3D SolidWorks Model I had created from the technical data package (TDP). Finalized revisions of the TDP while working with the electrical engineers, machine shop, assembly and quality control groups within Disan. • Used SolidWorks in creating and revising the 3D models and drawings for specific parts and products. • Processed revisions for all the Engineering Change Order (ECO) documentation packets that needed updating and obtained the required reviews and approvals. Created Traveler documentation by working with the machine shop and production group to determine all dimensions of the part and create manufacturing instructions. • Created process routing summary to detail the programs and tools used on the machines and the finishing processes from the creation of the part until it is completely finished. • Used engineering knowledge to research and solve problems relating to parts. Worked in the machine shop and assembly group doing various jobs.
