I first worked with Shawn In 2017 while serving as a Primary Program Leader at Vietnam Australia International School. Shawn joined our team, eager and with most of his teaching experience to that point in English Centers. Part of my role was to observe lessons and give feedback to teachers which would support their professional development. Shawn was receptive and keen to learn more, specifically with facilitating group discussion and curriculum planning. I saw him grow a lot that year as a teacher and we formed a close connection over conversations about educational philosophy and practices, so much so that after I moved to another school, we continued to work together on our own projects. One such project was a series of community events that explored complex topics such as consent, gender and social media use. We facilitated small group discussions which aimed to be a space for people to share and learn from each other's perspectives. I enjoy working with Shawn for the zest and energy he brings to a project and his clear communication style that makes collaborating with him such a pleasure.

I firmly recommend Shawn, for the position of Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Application Designer to any company interested in working with a rare talent. I was his mentor and meeting with him on a weekly basis was a learning experience for both. Multiple times, Shawn managed to come up with new ways of presenting things or optimizing workflows in Figma. His communication skills and ability to incorporate feedback are assets any team would benefit from. I consider Shawn able to tackle projects of any size and come on top any situation! Would like to keep in touch and work together again, in the future.

      - Working with their Wordpress team, my feedback lead to a restructuring of the Spark homepage, utilizing the layout and much of the copywriting I provided.- For AASYP’s next project, I took over as the solo designer and site builder. I created the Digital Dialogues site on the Wix platform.- Identified user types and goals, established the site layout, built effective copywriting and design, and established membership, forum, and blog features. - Working with their Wordpress team, my feedback lead to a restructuring of the Spark homepage, utilizing the layout and much of the copywriting I provided.- For AASYP’s next project, I took over as the solo designer and site builder.
