      To explain my style of digital marketing, we might divide marketers into two classes of thinkers: A "Fox" pursues many ends at the same time and sees the world in all its complexity. They are scattered or diffused, moving on many levels. Their minds are massive webs of ideas and strategies. When you come out of a conversation with a Fox, one question often becomes many questions. Months can pass by with no momentum. "Hedgehogs", on the other hand, simplify a complex world into single organising principles that unify and guide everything. They recognise that ideas are plentiful, great ideas are scarce, and spot-on execution often trumps fancy ideation. Hedgehogs are boring. They don't waste time trying to be flashy. They're focused. We all know digital marketing is a complex and fast-moving field. But at Hedgehog, we find that the solution to this complexity is focusing on what’s most important, using insights to drive action and being focused and disciplined. I've been doing digital marketing for a while. I've seen how things tend to pan out. I've reviewed the data of hundreds of websites across multiple methods of analysis. I've worked on over 100 clients in the search marketing field across all sorts of industries. I've been heavily involved in building many websites. What's the result of all that stuff? - I shy away from creating unnecessary complexity, focus energy on the things I've seen having the strongest impact, and keep things simple. Show less
