Derek Randall, Jr.

I worked with Shawn from June 2005 until December 2006 performing the initial startup training, outfitting, and certifications for USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG 98). Shawn was able to take a highly talented group of diverse individuals and form them into a highly effective, efficient organization. His charismatic, highly adaptable leadership style allowed him to draw out excellent performances from our team. Of special note, Shawn was able to maintain the cohesion and efficiency of damage control training and organization during a real world catastrophe (Hurricane Katrina) and he was also able to motivate the organization to overcome significant delays in schedule based on hurricane recovery. As a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, one of the most important roles one plays is as the mentor of young Officers. Most of any success I may have achieved in the surface Navy I owe to Shawn Necaise. I was lucky to have him as my Chief and I highly recommend him to you. - Derek Randall

Shawn provided exceptional oversight of FORREST SHERMAN's Damage Control Program through rigorous training, material readiness accountability, and conducting comprehensive drills. He built and provided initial outfitting of repair lockers from the ground up and trained over 300 personnel in various levels of shipboard firefighting. I have witnessed him as a 1st responder to personnel casualties and he know he is "level-headed" in a crisis. An exceptional leader, mentor, and firefighter! Strongest possible recommendation for any position leading personnel in crisis management, emergency response, or disaster relief. Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss this positive recommendation.
