Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day to day operations at the academy. Manages office and custodial staff. Job duties include the following -supervision of enrollment, transfer, and discharge of students and preparation of related files -supervise enrollment and attendance reports -supervise maintenance of student records -supervise student medication dispensation and supporting documentation -requistion, receives, distributes office, classroom, and custodial supplies -coordinates all transportation requests for day to day student transportation as well as field trips -prepares and maintains purchase orders and other expense records, approves, logs, and monitors expenditures; reconciles site records with district office; resolves discrepancies and ensures expenditures are within budget allowances -coordinates extended care childcare coverage for the academy -plans, assigns, trains, and evaluates office and custodial staff -develops, implements, and monitors work practices, systems, and methods that are effective, efficient, and consistent with district policies and regulations as they apply to general school site operations, computer usage, office equipment, and emergency procedures -manages technology distribution for staff and students; works with vendors to manage maintainence and repairs of all equipment -manages facility wear and tear and makes recommendations as to facility improvements. Oversees the process of securing contractors and managing all maintence project from start to finish -recognizes problems and impediments and reports them to the Principal with options for resolution; works with other site leaders to assist with constructive resolutions to any and all site issues -Works with food service vendor to facilitate a quality food service program for students; responsible for ordering meals and maintaining a positve fund balance Show less

Established after school and summer programming for students at Detroit Leadership Academy through the 21st Century grant. Maintained a $110,000 program budget and ensured that the program remained in compliance with all licensing regulations. Recruited staff and students for the program. Working with a variety of vendors, was responsible for scheduling engaging activities for the students which supported academic enhancement, character development, community service and physical activity. Liasoned with the daytime staff to ensure that curriculum and other key themes were carried over into the after school programming.
