In my role as a Senior R&D engineer, I served as the Technical Lead for the development of the ProdiGI Traction Magnet (DEN220006), guiding the entire lifecycle of the device from concept to market launch. I executed on selecting components, managing suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. I also lead a number of prototype and validation studies with physicians throughout the project to assess the ability for the device to meet clinical needs of the customer. Additionally, I led the re-design of the Cytosponge Cell Collection Device as Project Lead, achieving 510(k) clearance (K181020) and successfully coordinating with cross-functional teams. contract manufacturers, and test houses. As an R&D engineer, I was the primary engineer the development of the Barrx Anorectal Wand, a hand-held bipolar RF ablation device that obtained 510(k) clearance (K150251). My responsibilities included prototyping, designing components, selecting materials, and conducting product testing to ensure adherence to design specifications. In addition, I also worked with physicians from early concept through validation to regularly ensure the fulfill of the wand for their clinical needs. I also worked on a catheter systems for a novel biliary drainage stent delivery method that generated novel IP. Through iterative design processes and collaboration with physicians, I optimized the catheter prototypes for bench ex-plants, animal, and cadaver studies. Show less
