  Shawn R. Carstens serves as Vice President, Acquisitions at Griffin Realty Trust (“GRT”). He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and due diligence of acquisitions. Shawn also oversees all phases of dispositions, from property valuation to broker selection to sale negotiation and property closing. In addition, he helps set the REIT’s strategy, sharpen its market focus and nurture industry relationships. Shawn has been involved in the acquisition, disposition and due diligence of more than $2 billion of commercial real estate transactions across the U.S. during his nearly 20-year career in real estate. Before joining Griffin Capital in 2006, Shawn served as Manager at Realogic Analytics, a real estate consulting firm specializing in acquisitions, financing and disposition due diligence. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Real Estate and Urban Development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
