I had the pleasure of being Shaunda's supervisor when she worked as the Program Associate for Education, Professional Development and Diversity at APSA. Shaunda consistently demonstrated excellent communication and organization skills as she managed our team's numerous diversity fellowship application cycles, teaching and learning programs, and student recruitment programs. Shaunda earned her MPA during her time at APSA and applied her leadership skills and knowledge to her role as program associate as she worked with committees and engaged with faculty leaders from a variety of institutions. Shaunda also demonstrated a very strong work ethic and communication skills as she created marketing materials and supported our members, both faculty and students alike. Shaunda was a great asset to our team and the association as we advanced, and helped us accomplish, our goals recruiting students into diversity, educational and professional development programs; and providing educational opportunities and resources to faculty members across the nation.

As an intern at the American Political Science Association, Shaunda really taught me what it means to be a professional in the truest sense. By both her ability to connect, listen and motivate people from all different backgrounds to her supreme diligence - Shaunda was instrumental in my professional development. Most especially by her ability to assess one's strengthens and rooms for improvement and adapt accordingly, always making sure to give useful feedback. Shaunda is an invaluable leader in the workplace.
