Bio
Grace Meade, CHRL
I had the opportunity to work with Shaun while at Alumicor. In order for Human Resources and Health & Safety programs to succeed, support from the leadership team is crucial, and more so when the facility is in a different province. Shaun was eager to participate and be involved however necessary. As a leader, Shaun believed it was his responsibility to inspire employees to do things they never thought they could. Shaun encouraged employees to stretch and identify needed change, rather than settle on complacency.

Shaun and I have worked closely together for the last 14 years. Much of my own success is due to his mentoring and coaching through the years. Although I reported directly to Shaun, Shaun's constructive and supportive management style by listening, assessing would offer a great sounding board to make the best decisions for the business. Shaun fully engages himself at both day to day functions while creating and navigating the businesses to achieve future goals and objectives. His understanding of lean manufacturing and rigorous execution has helped form our success in the West and as an Enterprise. Process implementation, removal of waste, challenging the status quo, PDCA (plan, do, check, adjust), Shaun excels at. Shaun is not afraid of any challenge and is an Executive whom is always first to 'get his hands dirty'. Shaun just doesn't 'talk the talk' but 'Walks the walk'. Shaun fully embraces the term 'Lead by example'.
